Lorsque vous vous rendez à l'étranger, munissez-vous des factures de votre matériel (appareil photo, caméra, et autres produits électroniques). Le mieux est de les stocker dans votre smartphone, voire dans votre cloud. De retour en France, lors du passage aux douanes, si vous êtes contrôlé, celles-ci peuvent vous demander de justifier l'achat de certains appareils sur le territoire de l'Union Européenne. En l'absence de preuve, les douanes pourraient alors appliquer une régularisation tant au niveau de la TVA qu'aux niveaux des taxes douanières et des pénalités. A la fin le produit vous aura coûté plus cher. Nonobstant le risque de la garantie du fabricant éventuellement inadaptée.
